The compact SUV segment has long been popular, and this trend continued into February 2026.
These SUVs, measuring between 4 and 4.5 metres in length, posted total sales of 69,531 units, reflecting a healthy 47.77% year-on-year increase compared to 47,055 units in February 2025.
Based on the latest sales figures, here are the top ten most popular compact SUVs among car buyers.

The Hyundai Creta remained the segment leader by selling 17,938 units in February 2026, recording a steady 9.93% year-on-year growth from 16,317 units the previous year.

The Maruti Victoris, a fresh entrant, achieved 13,021 units in February.

Kia Seltos registered 10,308 units in February 2026, posting an impressive 59.91% year-on-year jump from 6,446 units sold in the same month last year.
Powertrain lineup consists of 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines matched to manual and automatic options.
The Seltos impresses with its large panoramic sunroof, dual-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS suite, ventilated seats, generous interior space, and bold exterior design.
Toyota Hyryder

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder delivered 9,359 units in February 2026, recording an exceptional 116.94% year-on-year growth over 4,314 units in February 2025.
It is offered with a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol, a strong-hybrid petrol-electric system, and factory CNG variants, paired to a 5-speed manual and automatic options.
