Volkswagen has confirmed that the latest MK8/8.5 Golf GTI will reach our shores somewhere around April–June 2025, the longest 3 months in the history of the calendar. The GTI will revive the unfilled gap and a gaping hole in our hearts left after the departure of the iconic Polo GT TSi albeit in a very very expensive manner.
Rumored to be priced around 52 lakhs! The Golf will be powered by the EA888 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 which produces 265 hp and 370 Nm eclipsing Virtus' 150 hp output.
VW has already said adios to the manual gearbox, so the fantastic speed DSG will be the sole transmission option sending power to the front wheels.

The setup will be enough for a sub-6 second 100 kmph time and a limited top speed of 250 kmph. These numbers may not mean much in the international market, but in our country where the speed limit is around 120, the MK Golf GTI will be nothing short of an absolute missile.

Only 250 units will be available in the first batch, so we suggest you get in touch with your next VW dealer. If you are out of luck, try finding a used GTI from VW in the used car market. This isn't VW's first gig with hot hatches in India, as previously they brought GTI with near 190 hp.
The all-new Tiguan R-Line Has Debuted with 200+ HP and Level 2 ADAS

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line has finally landed on our shores at around ₹49.00 Lakh. For that much money you get R-Line styling. Prominent 19-inch alloy wheels, and subtle badging that give it a visually planted and athletic stance on the road, complemented by sharp LED headlamps and connected taillights.
Powering the Tiguan R-Line is a refined 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. This 1984cc, 4-cylinder unit is a highlight, delivering a strong 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque for effortless acceleration and smooth performance. It's paired with Volkswagen's quick-shifting 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and the intelligent 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, ensuring excellent grip and stability that translates to a confident and engaging driving experience in various conditions.
Inside, the cabin strikes a balance between sporty feel and premium technology. A digital cockpit and a large central touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity form the core of the modern dashboard. Comfort is prioritized with supportive sport seats (featuring heating, ventilation, or massage), tri-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety is a major strength, backed by a 5-star Euro NCAP rating and a comprehensive nine-airbag system. Furthermore, Level 2 ADAS features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Front Assist provide crucial active safety and driver assistance, enhancing peace of mind. The Tiguan R-Line stands out as a sophisticated, well-equipped, safe, and dynamically accomplished premium SUV option in the Indian market.
It competes with the recenlty launch Skoda Kodiaq, whose biggst strength is its 7 seater layout.
