The Delhi showroom is located in the plush Worldmark complex, a prime location known for high-end offices, global hotel chains, and premium retail. Spanning over 4,000 square feet, the showroom is built to match Tesla’s upscale identity, and its proximity to IGI Airport makes it highly accessible to Delhi’s affluent crowd and business travelers.
With a reported monthly lease in the ₹25 lakh range, Tesla is clearly investing heavily in its India rollout.
The Model Y Is the Star of the Show
Tesla's launch lineup in India is led by the bestselling Model Y, which officially went on sale on July 15, 2025. Two variants are available: the standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and the Long-Range RWD. Prices start at ₹59.89 lakh ex-showroom for the RWD, translating to around ₹61.07 lakh on-road. The Long-Range version is priced at ₹67.89 lakh ex-showroom, or ₹69.15 lakh on-road.
Despite being imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs), which brings high import duties, the Model Y offers a compelling spec sheet. The Long-Range variant boasts a claimed range of 622 km (WLTP), while the standard version offers around 500 km.
Both models deliver solid performance with a top speed of 201 km/h and optional Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability for an additional ₹6 lakh. FSD, however, won’t be rolled out immediately in India due to complex traffic conditions and regulatory hurdles.
Battery options include a 60-kWh pack for the base model and a 75-kWh pack for those opting for the longer range. Deliveries will be prioritized in metro cities including Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram, with bookings now open for buyers across all Indian states and union territories.
Fast Chargers and Starlink
Tesla isn’t stopping at showrooms. It's also laying the groundwork for a charging network to support its early buyers. The company has confirmed plans for four fast-charging hubs in the Delhi-NCR region Aerocity, Saket, Noida, and Gurugram. Each site will feature 16 Superchargers and 15 slower Destination Chargers.
These will complement the private home chargers that Tesla is offering free of charge with every new vehicle purchase.
Aside form its cars, Tesla has also plans to introduce Starlink in India for as low as 30 USD.
