Tata Motors has ramped up production of the Sierra following strong demand, with bookings crossing the 1 lakh mark.
Deliveries of the revived Sierra began in mid-January 2026. By February 2026, the company successfully dispatched and delivered over 14,000 units.
A Tata Motors spokesperson stated:
“Production is steadily ramping up to scale volumes month on month and quarter on quarter. Our teams are working closely across manufacturing and the supplier ecosystem to progressively reduce the waiting period from booking to delivery, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer experience. Customers with bookings of the Tata Sierra will be kept periodically informed on their expected delivery timelines as we steadily progress towards fulfilling their Sierra ownership experience.”
Industry sources suggest that output could reach around 15,000 units per month by the second quarter of 2026, with the internal combustion engine (ICE) version likely accounting for about 12,000 units.
The upcoming electric variant, codenamed 'Rowa', is expected to add further capacity once production starts, likely within a quarter of the ICE ramp-up.
Tata Motors also denied reports of any production cuts at its Sanand facility, clarifying that Sierra output is in fact being enhanced to meet demand.
