Tata Motors is expected to launch the Sierra EV in May 2026, joining Tata's growing lineup of electric vehicles.
Built on the ARGOS platform, the Sierra EV will be produced at Tata's Sanand plant.
Tata Sierra EV Expected Battery Packs and Range
The Sierra EV could be offered with two battery pack options - likely a 55 kWh unit from the Curvv EV and the 65 kWh from the standard Harrier EV variants, with an expected range of over 500 km on both battery packs.
It is expected to offer both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions, with dual-motor AWD likely available on top trims for better performance.
A Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option may also be introduced to make the upfront cost more affordable for buyers.

Tata Sierra EV Design and Expected Features

The Sierra EV will get EV-specific design elements to differentiate itself from its ICE sibling. It could feature a blanked-off front grille, a revised bumper, new alloy wheels, and tweaked lighting.
Inside, it is likely to share many features with the ICE version, including a triple-screen setup on higher variants, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, JBL audio system, and connected car tech.
Safety is expected to be strong with comprehensive standard features like 6 airbags, ABS-EBD, ESP, Traction Control, Hill-start Assist, and ISOFIX seat mounts. Level 2 ADAS could be standard or offered on the top trims.

Tata Sierra EV Expected Price
The Sierra EV is expected to be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), sitting between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata's EV portfolio.
It will compete with models like the Mahindra BE 6, Maruti e Vitara, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric.
