Tata Punch HBX Edition Teased Before Launch

Tata Motors is all set to launch its new Punch HBX edition, anticipated to be the wildest Punch yet. 

This special edition Punch is expected to flaunt adventure-oriented design cues with new alloy wheels and silver accents. It is inspired by the original HBX concept, which was showcased as the pre-production Punch at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Tata Punch HBX Edition is a customised, off-road-inspired special version of the micro SUV's recent facelift. However, this version is not available as an individual variant for sale as of now.

This edition gets most of its upgrades outside, owing to the adventure-focused design details and cues, offering a more rugged look.

To start with, it features silver accents for the bumpers with stylish faux red coloured tow hooks. The bonnet gets dual faux air intakes and protruding silver sills. Additionally, it also features 15-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, all-terrain tyres, silver cladding on the doors, sportier roof rails, a two-piece rear spoiler, and door visors.

Inside, it is based on the top-spec Accomplished +S variant of the Punch, incorporating a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and other creature comforts that you’d get in the current flagship variant. 

There are a few design elements that could be exclusive to the HBX edition, like the HBX badging on the dashboard, seats, and upholstery.

The Punch HBX is likely to be exclusively available with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Tata has not officially announced the pricing or launch date for the Punch HBX edition, but expect a Rs 40,000 premium over the current flagship model. 

The Punch is currently priced from Rs 5.59 lakh to 10.54 lakh (ex-showroom).
