Tata Motors to Hike Prices From April 2026 - Check Affected Models

Tata Motors has announced a price increase for its passenger vehicles, which will take effect from 1 April 2026.
The carmaker is set to hike prices of its internal combustion engine models by a weighted average of about 0.5%. The exact amount of the hike will differ from one model and variant to another.
This adjustment aims to cover part of the ongoing rise in input costs. These include higher prices for raw materials as well as increased operational expenses.
Tata Motors noted that the change is needed to handle the pressure from these rising costs while still offering good value in its product range.

The price revision applies only to petrol, diesel, and CNG vehicles. It will affect popular models such as the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. Electric vehicles are excluded from this increase.
Here is a look at all the Tata ICE models, with their current starting ex-showroom prices (as of March 2026) and the estimated starting prices after the hike:
| Model | Current Starting Ex-Showroom Price | Estimated Starting Price After 0.5% Hike | Approximate Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tata Tiago | Rs. 4.57 Lakh | Rs. 4.59 Lakh | Rs. 2,300 |
| Tata Tigor | Rs. 5.49 Lakh | Rs. 5.52 Lakh | Rs. 2,700 |
| Tata Altroz | Rs. 6.30 Lakh | Rs. 6.33 Lakh | Rs. 3,200 |
| Tata Punch | Rs. 5.60 Lakh | Rs. 5.63 Lakh | Rs. 2,800 |
| Tata Nexon | Rs. 7.32 Lakh | Rs. 7.36 Lakh | Rs. 3,700 |
| Tata Curvv | Rs. 9.66 Lakh | Rs. 9.71 Lakh | Rs. 4,800 |
| Tata Harrier | Rs. 12.89 Lakh | Rs. 12.95 Lakh | Rs. 6,400 |
| Tata Safari | Rs. 13.29 Lakh | Rs. 13.36 Lakh | Rs. 6,600 |
| Tata Sierra | Rs. 11.49 Lakh | Rs. 11.55 Lakh | Rs. 5,700 |
Note: These figures use the base variant ex-showroom prices in Delhi. Actual prices differ by variant, features, and exact location within the city. The company has indicated a weighted average increase of about 0.5%, so some variants may see slightly more or less. The estimated new prices are calculated by applying 0.5% to the current base prices and rounding appropriately.

The announcement comes just before the start of the next financial year, and reflects the challenges faced by the auto industry due to fluctuating material costs.
Even with the hike, prices are expected to stay modest. It should not have a major impact on most buyers, but those watching their budget and seeking maximum savings are advised to act before the deadline.
