Following the December 2025 announcement, Tata Motors has finally launched the petrol-powered variants of theHarrier and Safari, revealing variant-wise prices.
Prices for the Harrier Petrol range from ₹12.89 lakh for the Smart MT variant to ₹24.69 lakh for the Fearless Ultra Red Dark Edition AT. The Safari Petrol is priced from ₹13.29 lakh for the Smart MT to ₹25.20 lakh for the Accomplished Ultra Red Dark 6-Seater AT.
All figures are ex-showroom pan-India. This move aims to attract customers who prefer petrol engines for their smoother performance and lower initial costs compared to diesels.

Tata is offering both petrol SUVs across several variants, catering to diverse budgets.
The Harrier comes in Smart, Pure X, Adventure X, Adventure X+, Fearless X, Fearless X+, Fearless Ultra, and Fearless Ultra Red Dark.

Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol Engine Specifications
Both the Harrier and Safari Petrol get the new 1.5-litre Hyperion T-GDI (turbocharged) engine that debuted on the new Tata Sierra, but has been tuned to deliver better figures of 168 BHP and 280 Nm of torque.
The engine is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox or an Aisin-sourced six-speed torque converter automatic. Both SUVs remain FWD only.

The Harrier and Safari remain visually unchanged on the design front, with a fresh Crimson Nitro exterior colour option being the only addition.
Inside, the cabin features a lighter theme with faux wood accents and silver details on the dashboard. The Red Dark Edition variants get red upholstery.
A large 14.53-inch QLED touchscreen handles infotainment, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Dolby Atmos sound. Other highlights are ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a digital IRVM with an inbuilt dashcam, auto-tilting ORVMs on engaging reverse, and a washer spray for both the front and rear view cameras.
For safety, both the SUVs get seven airbags, a Level 2+ ADAS suite, and a tyre pressure monitoring system on higher variants, while six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill-Hold, Traction Control, ISOFIX seat mounts, and disc brakes on all wheels are standard across all variants.

The Tata Harrier rivals other SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and MG Hector, while the Safari competes with models such as the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV 7XO.
