Renault has launched the Kwid facelift, priced at Rs 4.52 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kwid is among the very few remaining A-segment cars available in India.

In terms of design, not much has changed. It gets a new 3D Renault logo on the front nose as well as tailgate, new dual tone wheel covers for the 14 inch steel wheels, and upgraded roof rails with white inserts to add a bit more flair.

The interior also receives very subtle changes with the major upgrade being the new three spoke steering wheel with piano black inserts derived from the Kiger and Triber. The steering wheel also features the new Renault logo.
All other features mostly remain unchanged, such as the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster featuring a central multi-information display (MID), manual air conditioning, and power windows for all four doors. The seat upholstery made of black fabric with yellow highlights is carried over from the pre-facelift model.
Under the bonnet, the Kwid continues with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three cylinder petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual and a 5 speed AMT. A certified dealer-installed CNG kit is also available for buyers looking for high mileage. Renault claims a combined mileage of 22.3 km/l.
As for safety, the base-spec Evolution variant includes dual airbags, whereas the top-spec Climber comes with 6 airbags. Additional safety features consist of a rear parking camera with sensors, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill-start assist (only on AMT variants), keyless entry along with central locking, ABS with EBD, and seatbelt reminders.
