Renault has unveiled the Bridger Concept, a preview of an upcoming compact SUV set to enter its global lineup, including India.
Renault Bridger Production
Production of the Bridger is planned to commence in 2027 at Renault's Chennai plant for India and export markets.
Renault has confirmed that the SUV will be launched in India first before being introduced globally.
Renault Bridger Concept Exterior Design

The Bridger Concept boasts a tough, boxy look, with a tall stance, angular wheel arches, robust cladding, and high ground clearance (likely 200 mm) for a sturdy overall profile.
Up front, it displays a bold flat grille lit with Renault logos, boxy LED headlights with running lights, and a rugged bumper featuring skid-plate accents.
A standout touch is the spare tyre mounted on the rear tailgate, with tall rear lights and a broad stance that enhances its adventurous appeal.

Renault Bridger Concept Interior
Though full cabin specs remain under wraps, the production model promises generous space, including about 200 mm of rear legroom and roughly 400 litres of cargo room, which would be top-tier for its class.
Renault Bridger Engine Options
Powertrain choices will vary by region, potentially featuring the 1.0-litre turbo petrol (98 bhp, 152-160 Nm torque) from the Kiger.
A new 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is also expected, along with likely hybrid and electric options, aligning with Renault's push toward electrification.

Renault Bridger Rivals
In Renault's range, the Bridger will slot in between the Kiger and the next-gen Duster in the compact SUV space.
It will target sub-4-meter rivals, including the Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza, among others, upon launch.
