Nissan India has unveiled a new teaser of the Tekton before its launch on July 9. This SUV is Nissan’s Renault Duster sibling, and will signify the carmaker's re-entry into the midsize SUV market after the Kicks was discontinued in 2023.
Features like connected LED headlights and massive 'TEKTON' lettering on the bonnet and tailgate have been teased before, but a wide red colour strip on the front grille is new. Duster-like pull-type door handles at the front, and C-pillar-mounted ones at the rear, and multi-spoke alloy wheels are among the other exterior highlights.

The tail-lights have a C-shaped signature, which is a nod to Nissan's Patrol flagship SUV. In fact, in the latest teaser video, the Tekton can be seen beside the Patrol, terming it as the "Baby Patrol".
Nissan is also keen to launch the Patrol in India, and it could showcase the same during the Tekton's reveal next month.
The Nissan Tekton will go up against SUVs like the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Tata Sierra.
