Audi has officially teased the third-generation Q3 SUV for the first time, just days before its global debut on June 16, 2025. This marks the first major redesign of the Q3 since the second-gen model debuted internationally in 2018. The new model is expected to feature updated styling, more tech, and new powertrain options.

New Looks
The teaser images shared by Audi reveal a sleeker design approach. One shows a sharp A-pillar and muscular fender lines, while the other focuses on the all-new pixel-style DRLs. Notably, the headlamp units are now integrated into the bumper, a departure from the traditional headlight placement seen in the outgoing model. These changes hint at a more futuristic front-end design for the 2025 Q3.
While the images don’t show the full vehicle, the design language appears aligned with recent Audi concepts and production models. The rear lights are expected to follow a similar pixelated theme.
Expected Powertrains
While Audi hasn’t revealed any mechanical details yet, the next-gen Q3 is likely to retain petrol engine options and introduce a plug-in hybrid variant. The current Q3 in India is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 190 hp and 320 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT and quattro all-wheel drive.
In international markets, the next-gen Q3 is expected to transition to the MQB Evo platform, shared with other Volkswagen Group models, which supports electrified powertrains. A mild-hybrid or plug-in hybrid setup is widely expected, though exact specifications will be announced at the global reveal.
Interior and Tech
Audi has not revealed any interior images or features yet, but based on segment trends, we can expect a larger infotainment screen, upgraded driver assistance features, and possibly more cabin space. The Q3 may also adopt Audi’s latest MMI system and digital cockpit enhancements.
Global Launch Soon
The full unveiling of the 2025 Audi Q3 is scheduled for June 16, 2025, at 9 PM CST. The Q3 has been a strong seller for Audi, with over 2 million units sold globally. This generational update is expected to bring it in line with modern design and tech expectations while expanding its electrified lineup. Stay tuned for more details post-launch.
