New Mahindra Thar Roxx Facelift Teased

Updated January 22, 2026

The latest teaser for the Mahindra Thar ROXX, “The spotlight has found its star,” has sparked significant excitement around a potential mid-life facelift or a high-end special edition. We expect a full launch by March 2026
The appearance of matte black bumpers and revised headlamps points toward a more aggressive “Midnight” or “Stealth” themed edition, aimed at giving the 5-door SUV a more premium yet rugged appeal. While the current ROXX already gets C-shaped LED DRLs, the updated headlamps seem to feature a darker internal housing or a subtly revised LED signature to strengthen the overall blacked-out look.

The move to matte black bumpers suggests a clear shift away from the standard silver scuff plates and could be paired with blacked-out alloy wheels and darkened exterior badging. Inside, the most anticipated update is an all-black cabin theme, replacing the existing ivory-white upholstery that many owners find hard to maintain.
On the technology front, Mahindra may introduce a more responsive version of the 10.25-inch Adrenox infotainment system along with additional ambient lighting modes.
Mechanically, the 2026 Thar ROXX is expected to continue with the 2.0-litre mStallion petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines. That said, there is ongoing chatter about a possible 1.5-litre diesel option aimed at improving accessibility and widening its buyer base.
