Design and Features
The new Fortuner Leader Edition is available in four color choices: Pearl White, Attitude Black, Silver, and Superior White. The SUV showcases a redesigned front grille, front and rear bumper spoilers, and chrome accents for a bolder appearance. Additional styling touches include a dual-tone black roof, glossy black alloy wheels, and a distinctive hood emblem, all of which contribute to its sporty and premium look.
Inside, the cabin features black and maroon dual-tone seats and door trims. The SUV comes equipped with practical and premium amenities such as auto-folding mirrors, an illuminated scuff plate, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, enhancing both convenience and safety.
Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition is powered by a well-established 2.8-litre turbo engine equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) used in Legender. This engine delivers a maximum output of 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, paired with a rear-wheel drive (4x2) configuration, providing a balanced blend of power, control, and everyday usability.
Commenting on the launch, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said,
“At Toyota, we are constantly inspired by our customers’ evolving preferences, which drives us to refresh and enhance our offerings. The 2024 Fortuner Leader Edition received tremendous acceptance and reinforced the SUV’s iconic status on Indian roads.
Financing options include extended plans of up to eight years with lower EMIs, Toyota Smart Balloon Finance, and pre-approved Value-Added Services such as extended warranty and Toyota Genuine Accessories.
In addition, buyers receive five years of complimentary roadside assistance. The standard warranty is three years or 100,000 km, which can be extended up to five years or 220,000 km. Customers can also opt for the Toyota Smiles Plus service package for further customization and convenience.
