MG has announced that prices for its new Majestor SUV will be revealed on April 20, 2026. The model will replace the Gloster as the manufacturer’s flagship combustion-powered SUV in India.
It will come in two trims – Sharp and Savvy, with expected prices between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). We have broken down what each trim brings to the table – the Sharp and the Savvy.
The Majestor will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq. We pitted it against the Fortuner in a detailed comparison
Here’s everything you need to know:
MG Majestor Engine and Drivetrain
The SUV uses a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine taken from the higher-spec Gloster variants, which produces 215 hp and 478.5 Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox and comes with a four-wheel-drive system that includes low range.
Also, there are three locking differentials and five driving modes: Snow, Rock, Sand, Mud and Normal.

MG Majestor Exterior Design

On the outside, the Majestor has a boxy shape and a strong presence. Its front is highlighted by a large grille featuring gloss-black elements, vertically stacked LED headlights, and sleek eyebrow-shaped daytime running lights, all anchored by a silver skid plate and cladding below the bumper.
The same cladding runs along the wheel arches and lower doors. It rides on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and gets side steps on both sides.
Moving to the rear, the design is tied together by connected LED taillights positioned just below Morris Garages lettering, finishing off with the rear bumper featuring black-cladding and exhaust tips on both sides.

Inside the Majestor, the cabin features an all-black theme with silver accents for extra contrast. A 3-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of dual 12.4-inch screens – one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster.
To set the mood, a 64-colour ambient lighting system is fitted. Additionally, the equipment list includes a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL Studio audio system, powered tailgate, 3-zone climate control, a 220V power outlet for rear passengers and dual wireless phone chargers.
Seating wise, the vehicle will be available in both 6-seat and 7-seat layouts, with leatherette upholstery offered as standard. In addition, the driver’s seat offers 12-way electric adjustment with memory function linked to the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), while the front passenger seat has 8-way adjustment.
