Lexus India is all set to introduce the next-generation ES luxury sedan tomorrow, March 20.
This marks the arrival of the eighth-generation model in the country, nearly a year after its global unveiling.
The new ES aims to strengthen Lexus's position in the premium midsize sedan segment with an updated design, enhanced dimensions, and modern technology.
Lexus ES 2026 Design and Dimensions

The new ES adopts a sharper and more futuristic look compared to the current model.
The front features a cleaner fascia with a smaller air intake, Z-shaped LED daytime running lights integrated with turn indicators, and no traditional spindle grille. Headlights use a gloss-black treatment for a sleek appearance.
At the rear, a full-width slim LED light bar includes illuminated 'LEXUS' lettering, along with L-shaped trim for reflectors and new alloy wheel designs. The roofline slopes for a coupe-like profile.
The sedan grows larger overall, gaining about 165 mm in length, 55 mm in width, and 110-115 mm in height, with the wheelbase extended by 80 mm to around 2,950 mm. These changes promise more interior space and a better road presence.

Lexus ES 2026 Powertrain Specifications
The new ES is expected to continue with a hybrid powertrain for the Indian market.
It is expected to use a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of around 198-212 bhp and 221 Nm of torque. The setup connects to an e-CVT transmission and drives the front wheels.
This maintains the strong fuel efficiency and smooth performance that make the current ES 300h popular. While global markets offer more powerful hybrid options and pure EV versions, India is likely to stick with the hybrid-only approach.
Lexus ES 2026 Interior and Features

Inside, the cabin follows a minimalistic theme with fewer physical buttons and a cleaner dashboard layout.
Key highlights include a large 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports over-the-air updates, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and touch-capacitive controls.
Comfort features cover reclining rear seats with boss mode, powered front seats with memory, three-zone climate control, an electrochromic panoramic glass roof, and a Mark Levinson premium audio system. Noise reduction improves through better insulation and door sealing.
Safety equipment features the Lexus Safety System+ suite (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and other advanced driver aids.
