New Headlights and Wheel Design
Differentiating the updated Defender from the previous one simply from looks can be a daunting task, but for those with a keen eye, the changes are as visible as daylight. On the front, the Defender receives revised headlamps with a smaller central LED DRL section. On the rear, the tail-lamps now come with a smoke finish.
The new 22-inch 7-spoke alloy wheels also grab attention with the centre caps reading ‘Defender’.
Exterior Updates and Accessories

The updates to the exterior might not be significant enough, but they are worth noticing. The bumpers on both front and rear now come painted in either silver or satin grey, while the grille gets a new gloss black bar. Customers also get new color options, including a new Patagonia White Matte exterior wrap for the Octa and all V8 models.
Accessories options now include a new expedition roof rack, crossbars, and underbody protection. For the Octa variant, customers can get a 4,500 kg-rated winch option with a fibre cover. Other options include an integrated air compressor for the Defender 130.
Feature Updates

Perhaps the most significant update to the Defender is the new 13.1-inch touchscreen, replacing the previous 11.4-inch unit. The new feature suite also includes a driver-facing infrared camera on the steering column for monitoring driver attention, which has been mandated by the European Union’s GSR2 legislation.
The feature detects whether the driver is unattentive and sends audio and visual alerts accordingly. Another feature includes an off-road adaptive cruise control feature, which will be available as an optional extra.
Although Land Rover has not announced the release date for the Indian market, the model is currently on sale in the UK, so Indian customers can expect the Defender to reach the shores any time soon.
