Kia’s new SUV is making its debut with a sleek, bold design, packing in some serious style. The front end is all about that new-age look with vertically stacked headlamps and DRLs, giving it a beefy, strong stance. A chunky bumper and a high bonnet add to its rugged vibe. And if you’ve seen the Kia EV9, you’ll spot some similarities in the front design.
The high-end trims of Syros could come with a dual-screen setup is a highlight – it combines a digital instrument cluster with a large touchscreen infotainment system. Plus, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Kia logo adds a stylish touch. For comfort, expect ventilated seats, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting in all but the cheapest couple of models.
Kia is also expected to include a 360-degree camera, a range of 6 mandated airbags, and a suite of ADAS features to keep things safe. Kia India has announced the release of their brand new sub-compact SUV, the Kia Syros, through their YouTube channel.
Now, let’s talk power. The Syros will likely have a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing approximately 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. A 1.5-liter diesel engine delivering around 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque Transmission options may include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The Syros is compact, measuring 3,995mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,665mm in height. With a wheelbase of 2,550mm, it's got ample space inside, especially for rear passengers. You also get a massive 465-litre boot, which is one of the best in its segment.
The Kia Syros is set to shake things up in the Indian SUV market. With its striking design, top-notch features, and range of engine options, it's shaping up to be a great option for those looking for a compact yet powerful SUV. Keep an eye out for the launch tomorrow; it’s one you won’t want to miss!
In the Indian market, the Syros will compete with the recently launched Skoda Kylaq SUV.
