Hyundai has made the i20 more affordable by adding a new entry-level offering. The Era variant, priced at ₹5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), lowers the starting point for the premium hatchback. Hyundai has also slashed prices of other lower variants.
The Magna Executive now costs ₹6.74 lakh, down from ₹6.87 lakh, while the Magna is at ₹6.99 lakh, reduced from ₹7.12 lakh.
The Hyundai i20 lineup starts with the Era as the entry point, followed by Magna Executive and Magna. Higher variants remain unchanged. Hyundai offers a standard three-year warranty covering up to one lakh kilometres across all variants. These updates come as Hyundai celebrates over 1.47 million units of the i20 sold in 15 years.
Hyundai i20 New Variant Features
The i20’s new Era variant comes with basics like a digital instrument cluster, front and rear skid plates, body-coloured outside mirrors and door handles, USB-C charging ports, and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel.
The Magna Executive adds features such as a tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering-mounted controls for audio and calls, a shark-fin antenna, and telescopic steering.
The Magna adds an electric sunroof, LED DRLs, rear air vents, and a front armrest with storage. Those wanting more features can get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a rear camera for an additional ₹15,000 at dealerships.

The i20’s powertrain options remain unchanged, continuing with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 82-87 bhp and nearly 115 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or an IVT (CVT).
Hyundai i20 Safety
In a welcome move, Hyundai now offers six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill-start assist, and rear parking sensors as standard on every variant, making crucial safety features accessible for all buyers.
All these changes lower the i20’s price while keeping its premium feel intact, making it a lot more competitive against other premium hatchback rivals like the Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz.
