Following a thrilling Barcelona-Catalunya GP, Formula 1 is headed to the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg for the Austrian Grand Prix. Saturday qualifying is scheduled at 7:30 PM IST, and the Austrian GP will start at 6:30 PM on Sunday, 28 June.
Coming to the Red Bull Ring, this 4.326 km circuit offers almost everything, with the three long straights rewarding power, and successive quick corners from turn 4 to turn 10 demanding a decent amount of downforce.
This layout will challenge the teams to a good extent, with some likely to run on a low downforce setup with skinny rear wings for better top speed on the straights, while those with a strong PU could go with slightly higher downforce to not lose time around the fast corners.
Barcelona-Catalunya GP 2026 Results
| Pos | Driver | Team | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Lewis Hamilton | Ferrari | 25 |
| 2 | George Russell | Mercedes | 18 |
| 3 | Lando Norris | McLaren | 15 |
Mercedes's winning streak finally came to an end, with their former driver, Lewis Hamilton clinched his first race win with Ferrari after a three-stop strategic masterclass and a bit of luck from the safety car. However, the seven time world champion looked rapid all weekend and would have likely won even without it.

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli suffered his first mechanical DNF of the season, just moments after winning a hard fought battle with teammate George Russell for second place. This was a much-needed blessing for the Briton, who was coming from back to back non-scoring weekends in Canada and Monaco, with a 65 points deficit to Antonelli.
Lando Norris completed the podium, his second of the season after Miami.
