The Citroen Aircross X lineup brings a fresh option to the compact SUV segment in India. Launched on October 3, 2025, it starts at ₹8.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This series expands Citroen's X-badged models, which focus on added style and tech for better value.
The Aircross X is available in five main variants, offering both five- and seven-seater configurations. It comes with two engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol with a five-speed manual, or a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol with a six-speed manual and automatic unit. All variants share basics like 200 mm ground clearance, Advanced Comfort Suspension, and 444 litres of boot space.
Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, and rear parking sensors as standard. Below, we focus on what each variant offers, highlighting key exterior, interior, and feature differences.
You
Priced at ₹8.29 lakh for the five-seater, the You variant serves as the entry point in the Citroen Aircross lineup. It is the only variant that misses out on the X suffix, focusing on essentials for budget-conscious buyers. It features halogen projector headlamps, body-coloured bumpers, 16-inch steel wheels with covers, and manually adjustable ORVMs.
Inside, it offers fabric seats in a basic black theme, manual AC, front power windows, a straightforward analogue instrument cluster, and flat-foldable rear seats to maximise boot space. A seven-inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is offered, along with two speakers and USB ports, though it lacks advanced tech like voice commands.
Its 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 83 bhp and 115 nm of torque, paired to only a 5-speed manual gearbox, delivering an average fuel economy of 17.5 km/l.
This variant is ideal for city commuters seeking affordability and space, with an optional CNG kit available through dealers for an additional ₹1 lakh.
Plus
The Plus variant of the Citroen Aircross X at ₹9.77 lakh brings added style and convenience compared to the You. It introduces upgraded 16-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps with DRLs, and roof rails, while retaining the same bumpers but adding wheel arch cladding for a more SUV-like appearance.
Rear AC vents, rear power windows, and steering-mounted audio controls are the major additions in the cabin. Other convenience features include keyless entry and push-button start.
Though powertrain options remain unchanged, the Plus variant feels more family-friendly with its practical upgrades, making it a solid choice for those upgrading from hatchbacks or compact sedans
Plus Turbo

Priced at ₹11.37 lakh, the Plus Turbo variant introduces a turbo petrol engine and a 7-seating configuration for greater versatility. It remains visually unchanged from the standard Plus variant, but offers an optional dual-tone roof for ₹20,000.
A 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, and the CARA AI voice assistant for basic functions like music and calls are now added. The seven-seater layout with removable third-row seats and improved storage spaces makes it highly practical, while tan inserts on the seats lend a premium touch.
The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 111 bhp and 190 Nm torque with a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering a fuel economy of 18.5 km/l.
This variant is ideal for frequent highway commuters seeking power and flexibility, with the last row of seats being foldable/removable to provide 521 litres of cargo space.
Max Turbo MT/AT
For ₹12.35 - ₹13.49 lakh, the Max Turbo variants add premium features such as 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, LED fog lamps, and "Aircross X" badging. A new Deep Forest Green colour option has been introduced, adding a standout appeal.
Leatherette seats with a tan theme, a soft-touch dashboard, and redesigned AC vents complemented by ambient lighting and footwell lamps give the cabin a welcoming atmosphere.
The Max Turbo variants are exclusively available with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (111 bhp), paired to a 6-speed manual (190 Nm torque) or 6-speed Torque Converter automatic (205 Nm torque) options, with the automatic delivering a mileage of 17.6 km/l.
This variant adds automatic climate control, a wireless charger, a six-speaker audio system, and a seven-inch digital driver display. The CARA AI voice assistant expands to handle navigation and weather checks, while a 360-degree camera is available as an optional ₹25,000 add-on.
The Max Turbo variants are a great fit for buyers seeking performance and the convenience of an automatic with all the bells and whistles.
The Aircross X lineup keeps things simple yet capable, with each variant adding higher value over the lower one. From the no-frills ‘You’ to the powerful and feature-rich Max Turbo AT, it caters to a wide variety of buyers in the ₹8-14 lakh range.
