Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG is a popular compact SUV with a 1.5-litre K15C engine delivering around 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm in gas mode for smooth, reliable performance in daily city and highway use. It offers strong efficiency with ARAI-rated up to 25.51 km/kg (real-world often 22-25 km/kg), making it economical with a petrol backup tank for flexibility.

A facelift is underway with underbody CNG tanks for even more boot space.

Nissan Gravite CNG

The Nissan Gravite is the latest MPV to get a retrofit CNG powertrain. It uses a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. 

While its twin-cylinder setup eats up a lot of the boot space, the third row of seats can be folded or entirely removed to free up more cargo room if being used only as a 5-seater. However, Nissan has not revealed the exact figures.

The Gravite is reasonably feature-packed, with an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, a 7-inch digital cluster, a cooled glovebox, and rear AC vents. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, and hill hold as standard.
