Hyundai recently introduced Pleos Connect, a new infotainment system that aims to make driving more connected and intuitive.
It brings a smartphone-like experience into the car while keeping safety and ease of use in mind, and will feature in many upcoming Hyundai and Kia cars
Here are all the key features the Pleos Connect infotainment system includes.
Dual-Screen Setup

At the heart of Pleos Connect is a large central touchscreen. This wide display is divided into three main sections.
One part shows driving information, including a 3D view of objects and people around the vehicle for better awareness. Another section handles navigation, media playback, and apps. A bar below gives quick access to favorite or recently used functions with a single tap.
In front of the driver sits a slim display. It shows important details such as speed, media information, and turn-by-turn directions right in the line of sight. This design helps drivers keep their eyes on the road instead of looking down or to the side.

Physical Buttons for Basic Controls
Unlike fully touch-based systems, Pleos Connect includes physical buttons below the main screen and on the steering wheel.
These buttons control key functions like temperature, seat heaters, and volume. This mix of touch and physical controls makes the system safer and more convenient to use while driving.
This is a great move by Hyundai, and we hope more manufacturers adopt such systems, with buttons provided for important functions.
Gleo AI Voice Assistance

Pleos Connect comes with Gleo AI, an intelligent voice assistant.
Powered by a large language model, Gleo can understand natural speech and help with many tasks, such as adjusting vehicle settings, searching for information, or controlling entertainment.
The navigation system offers smart, data-driven routes with online maps, and integrates well with the AI assistant for seamless guidance.
Future Ready for OTA Updates
Pleos Connect runs on the Android Automotive operating system but includes many Hyundai-specific improvements for a smoother, more customizable experience.
It receives over-the-air updates that can improve not just the software but also other vehicle systems in the future.

Apps and Entertainment Options

One of the biggest strengths of Pleos is its open ecosystem.
The built-in App Market lets users download and use various apps for music, video streaming, web browsing, and more. The large screen supports split-view and multi-window modes, so you can run several functions at once. You can even switch to a full single-screen mode for watching videos when the car is parked.
The system supports user profiles through Pleos ID. This feature saves personal preferences and settings, which stay with you across different Pleos-equipped vehicles.
This new infotainment system has already debuted in the Hyundai Grandeur luxury sedan in South Korea.
When Will it Come to India?
The upcoming third generation Hyundai Creta is expected to be the first model in India featuring this system, with recent spyshots revealing the same.
The Kia Seltos could also get it as a part of an update, and the upcoming Kia Sorento could also feature it.
We expect this system to make its way into most of Hyundai and Kia's model lineup in India in the coming years, though it could be exclusive to the top-end variants.
