- New Kia Seltos 2026 Price
Kia is preparing to unveil the second-generation Seltos. The compact SUV has gained strong popularity in India since its introduction. Based on recent teasers and reports, the updated model is likely to bring a refreshed design, enhanced interior space, new tech features, and more efficient engine choices, including a hybrid option.
A global debut is slated for December 10, 2025, in South Korea, though an India launch is not expected before 2026. This new-generation update could help the Seltos give its rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara a run for their money by focusing on better styling, comfort, and connectivity.

The exterior redesign seems to follow Kia's "Opposites United" design language, suggesting a more robust and upright profile. Teasers and spy shots have hinted at slim vertical LED daytime running lights, a bolder front grille, and angular headlights and flush door handles. The overall shape appears more squared-off with crisp creases, increased dimensions, and updated bumpers that could give it a stronger stance.
At the rear, connected C-shaped LED taillights with a light bar across the tailgate, along with fresh wheel designs and body coloured accents, point to a larger footprint that might improve cabin room and rear passenger space, all while keeping the sporty vibe.

The interior is expected to adopt a high-end, driver-centric layout inspired by Kia's recent vehicles. A key highlight could be a triple-screen setup, featuring dual 12.3-inch curved panels for the digital gauges and touchscreen infotainment, complemented by a smaller 5-inch display for climate settings.
Other anticipated features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone AC with rear outlets, and a wireless charging pad. Ventilated front seats and an improved sound system might enhance comfort, with better soundproofing for a relaxed drive.
Expected Powertrains

| Powertrain Spec. | 1.5L N/A Petrol | 1.5L Turbo Petrol | 1.5L Diesel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power | 113 BHP | 158 BHP | 114 BHP |
| Torque | 144 Nm | 253 Nm | 250 Nm |
| Transmission | 6-MT / CVT | 6-iMT / 7-DCT | 6-MT / 6-AT |
Engine options are likely to carry over from the current Seltos with tweaks for better performance and efficiency. The entry-level 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing around 113 BHP and 144 Nm of torque, will likely be paired with the same six-speed manual or CVT.
The sportier 1.5-litre turbo GDI petrol, producing about 158 BHP and 253 Nm, could continue with a six-speed iMT or seven-speed DCT. Though highly unlikely, a six-speed manual with this engine will be hugely welcome!
The tried-and-tested 1.5-litre diesel unit churning out 114 BHP and 250 Nm is also expected to continue with the six-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmissions.
A mild or strong hybrid based on the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol is rumoured to be on offer for superior mileage, though an India launch might be delayed until 2027. All-wheel drive could feature in select global markets, with drive modes to suit different terrains.
Safety
On the safety front, it could offer up to six or seven airbags, ESP, a 360-degree view camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist and Level 2 ADAS features, including auto emergency braking, semi-autonomous driving, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and collision avoidance, among others.
New Kia Seltos 2026 Price
Pricing details remain under wraps, but the 2026 Seltos is projected to start from about ₹11.5 lakh ex-showroom for the base petrol model, priced at at least a ₹50,000 premium over the current range of ₹10.79-19.81 lakh owing to all the upgrades.
As more information emerges post-debut, the new Seltos could further solidify Kia's position in India's competitive SUV space.
