In its segment, the Amaze closely competes with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Hyundai Aura (the Tata Tigor is also a direct alternative for buyers seeking CNG).
The Dzire focuses on efficiency with its lighter three-cylinder petrol engine, but the Amaze counters with the smoother refinement of its four-cylinder i-VTEC unit.
The Aura offers sharp styling and a feature-rich cabin, though the Amaze leads with a larger 416-litre boot and a 5-star Bharat NCAP adult occupant safety rating.
The Tigor, meanwhile, provides a CNG option for lower running costs, while the Amaze emphasises refinement, practicality and consistent mid-range performance from its naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The Honda Amaze mileage ranges from 18.65 to 19.46 kmpl. The Manual Petrol variant has an ARAI mileage of 18.65 kmpl. The Automatic Petrol variant has an ARAI mileage of 19.46 kmpl.
