Yamaha has introduced special 70th Anniversary Editions of the R15 and R3 motorcycles in Brazil, celebrating seven decades of the brand's racing excellence and motorsport heritage.
The standout feature of both bikes is their striking red-and-white livery.

This retro-inspired paint scheme draws from Yamaha’s classic race bikes of the past, giving them a true factory-racer look. The design mixes old-school racing spirit with modern supersport styling.
On the R3, the golden inverted forks add even more appeal. There are no major cosmetic changes beyond the special colours.

Mechanically, both models remain unchanged. The R15 keeps its single-cylinder engine and sporty character, while the R3 continues with its lively twin-cylinder setup. There are no updates to the suspension, chassis, or electronics either.
Production is limited, with just 1,200 units of the R15 and 600 units of the R3 available. In Brazil, the R15 Anniversary Edition is priced from BRL 24,090 (about Rs 4.69 lakh), while the R3 starts at BRL 37,790 (roughly Rs 7.36 lakh).

These high prices are due to heavy taxation in Brazil, and would be lower in India.

If launched here, prices would be slightly higher than the standard models - the R15 ranges from Rs 1.55 lakh to Rs 1.86 lakh, while the R3 is priced at Rs 3.39 lakh (all ex-showroom Delhi).
There is no official word from Yamaha yet regarding a launch in India, but given the brand's and especially R15's strong popularity in the country, it is only fair to expect these special editions to make their way here.
