- Will Suzuki Burgman 150 Launch in India?
Suzuki has introduced the Burgman 150, also known as the Burgman 15, in Colombia.
This launch comes shortly after the company updated the Burgman Street 125 in India.
The new model is a proper maxi-scooter with a larger engine and premium features. Here's everything you need to know about the Burgman 150, and what it gets over the Burgman Street sold in our market.
Suzuki Burgman 150 Design

The Burgman 150 sports a large front fairing that houses dual LED headlamps along with eye-catching LED DRLs. The design includes a stepped seat, raised handlebars, a short windshield, and a single upswept exhaust.
At the rear, the large tail-light and LED turn indicators add a premium touch.
Compared to the Burgman Street 125, this maxi-scooter has more substantial bodywork and cleaner lines. It also offers a noticeably larger under-seat storage area, which should make it more practical for daily use and longer rides.

What Features Does the Suzuki Burgman 150 Get?
Suzuki has packed the Burgman 150 with several useful features, including a digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity, keyless ignition, and an 18-watt USB Type-C charging port.
Suzuki Burgman 150 Engine Specifications

At the heart of the Burgman 150 is a 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 14.2 hp at 8,500 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm - a good jump over the Burgman Street 125's 8.4 hp and 10.2 Nm.
The scooter also comes with an idle start-stop system for better fuel efficiency.
Chassis, Suspension and Safety
The Burgman 150 rides on a 14-inch wheel setup, which is larger than the 12-inch wheels on the Indian Burgman Street.
It uses a telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
Safety is impressive, with disc brakes on both wheels, dual-channel ABS, and traction control.

Will Suzuki Burgman 150 Launch in India?

While the Burgman 150 has been launched in Colombia, there is no official word yet on its India launch.
If it comes to our market, it will rival other maxi scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160. We expect Suzuki to position it as a more comfort-oriented scooter rather than a thrill-focused machine.
With India's growing interest in premium scooters, a well-equipped 150cc model could find buyers who want more space, power, features, and something niche as compared to 110-125cc scooters that dominate sales charts.
