Royal Enfield is preparing a refreshed version of the Continental GT 650, expected to launch between October and December.
The Continental GT 650 has become Royal Enfield's top-selling twin-cylinder bike. Its classic cafe racer design, engaging performance, and affordable price have won over many bike lovers.
Given this fan following, Royal Enfield will continue selling the GT 650 model alongside the upcoming Continental GT 750 that they have been developing. The 650 will stay as the more accessible choice, while the 750 targets buyers looking for additional power and premium features.

This update to the GT 650 will bring meaningful improvements rather than just cosmetic changes.

The bike will keep its telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, but both will use upgraded components, aiming to address rider feedback about the front feeling too soft and the rear too stiff, resulting in better handling and comfort.
Some test bikes related to the 750 model have shown twin front disc brakes, and this setup may appear on the updated GT 650 for stronger and more confident stopping. Dual-channel ABS will remain standard for safety.
The 648cc parallel-twin engine will stay unchanged, delivering 47 hp and 52 Nm of torque, paired to a six-speed gearbox. The steel tubular frame will also carry over without modifications.

Expect new colour options and graphics. The current model comes in five shades, and certain colours already come with cast alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, which should likely carry over to the updated model as well.
Prices for the current Continental GT 650 range from about ₹3.5 lakh to ₹3.8 lakh ex-showroom, depending on the variant.
The updated model should see a price hike thanks to all the upgrades, and will likely be launched after the GT 750.
