India’s beloved scooter, the Jupiter 125, is ready for a new iteration. The Jupiter has been available in both 110cc and 125cc variants, with the former being the launch model by the brand. While the 110cc variant recently received the much-awaited update, the 125cc model has been around since 2021 without any major updates.
With TVS finally updating the Jupiter 125, let’s see what we can expect from the new model.
Design
The teaser images dropped by TVS do not give a clear picture of what’s to come, but given its direct competition to Access 125 and the best-selling Activa 125, we expect the Jupiter 125 to bring its best game. The images on TVS’s handles claim that the new Jupiter 125 will come with a “bold new look.”
If we also look at the recently updated 110cc variant, one can expect the newer 125cc model to sport a new look for the headlight and the tail lamp, along with new color options.
Engine And Features
While the teasers claim the new Jupiter will come with “Style, Power, Performance”, we believe that the 2025 Jupiter 125 will most probably come with the existing engine. The current 124.8cc engine produces 8.1hp and 10.5 Nm of torque. The iGo Assist feature, on the other hand, can bring it up to 8.44 bhp and 11.1 Nm of torque.
As for features, the Jupiter 125 may consist of a new digital TFT display to accommodate connectivity features through the SmartXonnect, LED lighting, follow-me-home headlights, and other additional features.
Expected Launch and Pricing
So far, the automaker has made no comments about the release date and the pricing of the 2025 Jupiter 125. However, with a new design language and additional features, we expect the Jupiter 125 to come with an increased price tag compared to its ongoing model.
The ongoing model starts from Rs 79,591 (ex-showroom) for the base model and goes up to Rs 99,100 (ex-showroom) for the top variant.
With TVS working on a CNG-based Jupiter also, one can expect multiple variants amongst the Jupiter lineup shortly.
