Triumph Motorcycles recently downsized its engines from 400cc to 350cc, a move also seen from Bajaj Auto and KTM with their Duke 350 , largely due to the revised GST structure that significantly benefits motorcycles below the 350cc segment.
Now, according to Autocar, a Mumbai-based Triumph dealership has claimed that prices of the new Triumph range could increase by around Rs 10,000 in the coming weeks. For reference, here is what the current lineup costs.

This potential price hike does not come as a surprise. The new-generation 350cc Triumph motorcycles produce around 5Nm less torque and roughly 2-3hp lower power compared to the outgoing 400cc versions, helping the brand position them within the lower tax bracket while keeping overall performance largely similar for everyday riding.

If this price revision turns out to be accurate, there is a strong possibility that Bajaj and KTM could also follow a similar strategy to remain competitive in the post-GST revision market.
