- KTM RC 160 Launch Date
KTM has built a strong fanbase in India with its razor-sharp styling and strong-performing bikes since arriving a decade back.
The RC series has always stood out for offering track-like thrills on everyday roads, with the RC 200 and 390 leading the charge. However, just like the 125 Duke, the entry-level RC 125 lacked punch for its high price tag, and did not find many takers. Unsurprisingly, KTM discontinued the 125 twins in April 2025.
Following the launch of the 160 Duke, KTM has been preparing to launch the RC 160 as well, and a recent leak of its design has given us a good idea of what to expect from this new entry-level model from the RC Series. This faired fighter will blend affordability with KTM's aggressive edge to boost sales in a cutthroat segment - this time without compromising on performance!

KTM RC 160 Highlights
The design echoes the RC 200's aerodynamic aggression, sporting a sleek LED headlamp with edgy DRLs under a small windshield, sculpted fairings hugging a muscular tank, and a slim tail with split seats. The Electric Orange graphics pop against black, with possible blue or grey options for variety.
The RC 160 borrows elements from its Duke counterpart, featuring an LCD cluster that displays speed, RPM, gear, and navigation, along with full LED lighting and sporty mirrors. An underbelly exhaust adds bite without bulk.
Its 164 cc liquid-cooled single has been derived from the Duke as well, producing 19 PS and 15.5 Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. It promises zippy performance and decent efficiency gains from the aero tweaks.
Handling remains a strong point with WP Apex USD forks, a monoshock rear, 17-inch alloys on grippy tyres, and dual discs with ABS.
KTM RC 160 Price and Launch Timeline
Expect an early 2026 launch, priced from around ₹1.85 lakh ex-showroom. The KTM RC 160 will primarily compete against the Yamaha R15, Suzuki Gixxer SF 150, and Apache RTR 160.
