Greaves Electric Mobility has launched the all-new Ampere Magnus Neo scooter at ₹86,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price sits ₹2,099 above the regular model, which is not a major jump, though buyers will want to know exactly what that premium brings them.
The answer is that Ampere has brought refinement to the scooter than major upgrades - it does not bring a new platform, a bigger battery, or a better display. Instead, it gets a lowered seat and a revised wheel setup.

2026 Magnus Neo - What has Changed?

The most meaningful update is the seat height, which has been dropped by 25 mm to 777 mm. Along with this, Ampere has also revised the rear wheel which now features a 10-inch rear tyre paired with a 12-inch front, while the kerb weight has been reduced to 106 kg (5 kg less than the previous model).
Together, these changes should improve the overall handling of the scooter.
The company has also revised the motor and wheel configuration, which it claims results in smoother acceleration and improved stability.
In addition, the scooter is offered in four colour options - Mystic Mauve, Butter Yellow, Matcha Green and Ocean Blue.
The Magnus Neo competes with the Ather Rizta, Hero Vida VX2, TVS Orbiter, and Bajaj Chetak C2501.
