Bajaj has updated its Chetak electric scooter range, bringing in new features, better top speeds and a revised naming structure. As a result, the final ex-showroom prices have got some adjustments.
The range now shifts to a new “C Series” naming format, organising them into C25, C30 and C35, which needed to happen with the introduction of the new entry-level C25 model.
For instance, the top two models in the 35-series, previously called 3501 and 3502, have been renamed to C3501 and C3502.
Here are the feature additions and performance tweaks that Bajaj has brought to the Chetak Range:
New Features Across The Chetak Range
Bajaj has added new features to the Chetak range with the update. Starting with the C3501, it now integrates Google Maps navigation through the official Chetak mobile app.
A document storage function meanwhile, can view RC and insurance papers on the display, when in need.
In addition, over-the-air (OTA) updates are now supported on the C3501 and C3502, which should keep the scooters current and aid in remote software fixing.

Performance Improvements Across The Chetak Range

Bajaj has also done many performance improvements to the Chetak range. It is led by the revised motor output to 4.8 kW, up from 4.5 kW, which has given the C3501 and C3502 models a higher top speed of 80 kmph, up from 73 kmph previously.
The lower C3503 and C3001 models meanwhile, now top out at 70 kmph, up from 63 kmph, whereas the entry-level C2501 now achieves 60 km/h, up from 55 kmph during its initial launch in January this year.
Claimed range has also seen a boost across the series, with the C25 now achieving 113 km, 127 km for the C30, and 153 km for the C35 series.
Furthermore, the Eco and Sport ride modes, along with hill-hold assist have also become standard on the C35 and C30 series, which were previously an optional additions.
The C3001 in particular, is now seeing reduced 0-80% charging times, to just 2 hours and 55 minutes, down from 3 hours and 50 minutes previously.
