Ampere EV has got bigger than ever before, with its electric scooters surpassing 400,000 units production and sales milestone in India.
The electric two-wheeler manufacturer has expanded the affordable electric scooter segment, particularly the sub-Rs 1 lakh category.
Greaves Electric Mobility reports that Ampere saw a 51% year-on-year increase in FY26, with its market share growing from 3.6% in FY25 to 4.4% in FY26.
As established two-wheeler manufacturers, EV-focused start-ups, and emerging regional companies compete for the same customers, consistent growth is beneficial.

Ampere also claims that its scooters utilise entirely LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) battery technology, well regarded for its safety, thermal stability, and extended life cycles.
Despite lifespan of nearly 200,000 km, battery safety continues to be a major worry for EV purchasers. Thus, the LFP perspective caters to purchasers prioritizing reassurance over high performance.
