Nissan Tekton Overview

The Nissan Tekton is the brand’s upcoming compact SUV for India, set to challenge the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the competitive mid-SUV space. Built on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform, it will be locally produced in Chennai from mid-2026.

The Tekton’s design draws inspiration from larger Nissan SUVs, featuring a bold grille, full-width LED rear light bar and pronounced muscular lines. Power will come from a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with manual and CVT gearboxes, with other lower-capacity options possible. Expected prices start around ₹10.5 lakh (ex-showroom). With its mix of style, technology and performance, the Tekton aims to re-establish Nissan’s position in India’s booming compact SUV segment.

The Nissan Tekton will debut on July 9, 2026. Apart from an all-new design language, it will likely feature powertrains derived from the Duster, especially the turbo-petrol unit. You can also expect all the bells and whistles like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a couple of large touchscreens, and possibly ADAS as well. The Tekton is Nissan’s answer to the Creta and Sierra.
