Hyundai’s throwback IONIQ may not look as eye-catching as the Kia EV6, but its retro styling and standout design have been praised worldwide regardless. The updated model, along with Gravity Gold matte paint, new bumpers, and a DRL signature, has been launched. The IONIQ 5 now also comes with a larger 84 kWh battery and a claimed range of 690 km. We think that anywhere between 400–500 km is possible in the real world.

Hyundai has taken customer feedback seriously and has made plenty of quality-of-life changes, like moving the charging pad to the top of the console, adding standard wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and getting rid of that super hard-to-maintain light beige interior. The steering is redesigned and now comes with changing indicator lights. Hyundai has also updated its ADAS features, and the rear wiper now comes as standard.
