I recently went to the Tesla showroom in Aerocity at the launch of their Tesla Model Y L variant, to check out the world’s best-selling EV. Sure, in the US it’s half the price and is considered a dime-a-dozen piece of hardware, but regardless, it’s impressive. Here is my take on it,

This one is a genuine head scratcher and here is what I could come up with The L-variant is cheaper than the Long Range RWD because it qualifies for India's new 15% import duty (under the 2024 EV policy for local investors). The Long Range RWD was imported earlier under the massive 70-100% CBU tax. Combined with Giga Shanghai’s efficient supply chain, the better-specced Model Y L is a "policy win," while the RWD remains a pricy "tax relic."
The Model Y is currently available with Electric engines.
The Model Y comes equipped with several safety features including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Central Locking, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Seat Belt Warning, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock and Hill Assist.
The Model Y offers 822 Litres of boot space. Its dimensions are 4790 mm in length, 2129 mm in width, and it has a wheelbase of 2890 mm.
